Fuel To Go Review

Recently, I posted about Fuel's healthy options - available on 12th and Chestnut. They've actually got several other outposts, including one at 16th and JFK Blvd - Fuel To Go. This location offers a quick option for lunch - they have a bevy of fresh options available for pick up.

There's some seating as well within the establishment - about 10-15 seats in total.

Recently, they've been offering a great $10 special which includes a wrap and a smoothie. So after work, I picked up two of these for the GF and I.

Fuel Stacker ($8.95)
Portabello, eggplant, zucchini, squash, tomato, house made mozzarella, and pesto

The meaty portabella and eggplant helped to make this a substantial wrap. The zucchini and squash adds a light, vegetal element. The house made mozzarella adds some creaminess to the wrap, while the pesto helps to tie everything together.

Eggplant & Goat Cheese ($8.95)
Roasted eggplant, goat cheese, pesto, roasted peppers, and arugula

The eggplant and goat cheese was hearty as well, with the tangy cheese brightening up the dish. The peppery arugula added some bite, while the roasted peppers added a subtle sweetness to the wrap.

Fruit Fusion
Strawberry, raspberry, banana

The fruit fusion smoothie was really sweet - the berries helped to make it tart, while the banana brought some ripe creaminess to the drink. Still, a bit too sweet for my taste.

Pineapple Power Lunch
Pineapple, strawberry, banana

This pineapple smoothie was slightly less sweet, but still brought up the ripe flavors of its respective ingredients as well.

Overall, Fuel to Go offers a quick, easy, and healthy option for lunch. The smoothie bar is a nice option for those who want something sweet as well.
