My love of food has been the one underlying factor that has brought constant joy throughout my life. I am a self-proclaimed addict who craves his latest fix of food.
Whether it was Mickey D's when I was a kid, my first medium-rare Prime cut rib-eye in college, or my continuous quest to eat all things pork belly, I reserve no bias toward the type or cost of the cuisine that enters this belly of the pig. It just needs to be delicious. (FYI - being Asian, I do find it fascinating that Western chefs and diners have only recently discovered their love affair with pork belly. Just saying!)
In Philadelphia, I have dined at establishments as venerable as Vetri
and noshed at ubiquitous establishments such as Five Guys and Ruth's
Chris. My hope is to detail and share these dining experiences with those that have a similar love for cuisine that does not have to be elevated, but must be enjoyable.
For the past few years, I've restrained myself from being 'that guy' who takes pictures of every dish and blogs about every meal. Highly ironic as I subscribe to 20+ food blogs and easily spend a considerable amount of time reading about meals that take place 3,000 miles away.
So I've given in, and I'll be sure to give it my all. I hope you enjoy.
